Role: Production Support Assistant
Reports to: Technical Development Manager
Location: Darlington
Hours: This role will be working a rotating shift pattern of 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm and 10pm - 6am, to be able provide fully support our supply chain operations
Salary: £13.09 per hour plus shift allowance (37.5/39 hour contract)

We’re currently looking for a Production Support Assistant to help contribute to the smooth running of our supply chain operations. In this role you will join our manufacturing team and provide essential support across production planning, stock control, systems, and reporting.

What you’ll be doing
- Support daily production planning, ensuring plans, bookings, and shop orders are accurate and up to date
- Assist Team Leaders with stock location, validation, and issue resolution across all production areas
- Maintain high levels of stock control and accuracy
- Manage ATO‑specific activities including EXPI checks, scrap control, pallet movements, transfers, and live load sheet tracking
- Complete regular scrap audits and maintain accurate PI and reporting documentation
- Produce and support weekly and monthly operational reports, escalating risks and recurring issues as required
- Maintain accurate system data, support basic system access requests, comply with Health & Safety standards, and contribute to continuous improvement
Who we’re looking for
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of a production environment
- A practical, analytical problem‑solver with excellent attention to detail
- Confident working independently in a fast‑paced, high‑volume manufacturing setting
- Highly organised with strong time management and prioritisation skills
- Proactive, motivated, and comfortable constructively challenging issues
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience in a production, manufacturing, or supply chain environment is highly desirable
