Production Support Engineer

Production Support Engineer

Location: Barton Under Needwood Salary: £40k - £45k Hours: 7:30am - 4pm Mon - Thur & 7:30am - 12:30pm Fri

This is a great opportunity for a Production Support Engineer to join an established manufacturing company within the Barton Under Needwood area. You will provide Operational Engineering Support as required with the main focus on improving the core operational delivery through structured process improvement.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Supporting audit and compliance to safety and quality.
  • Delivery of Work Instructions for all operational activities
  • Root cause analysis and process improvement
  • Facilitation for improvement in production planning.
  • Resolution of engineering issues.
  • Supporting new product development process.
  • Helping to deliver Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
  • Development of product matrix around time, effort and costs

Skills and Experience:

  • HNC / HND Degree educated.
  • Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to extract raw data, analyse and generate insight.
  • Experience with QMS and Specifically Change Management
  • Relentless attitude to Health & Safety
  • Process driven with MRP/ERP being a natural part of thinking
  • Proven, proactive and positive hands-on approach.
  • Continuous Improvement and LEAN through a wider team
