Role Overview
Production Support Operator – Machine Shop Team
This critical role ensures smooth, efficient, and safe machine operation by managing material supply, machine support, and maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain continuous production through timely supply of correct bar stock and ensuring adequate lubrication levels for machines.
- Execute machine changeovers to accommodate new materials and production requirements.
- Support general machine upkeep to optimise performance and reduce downtime.
- Conduct hourly quality checks with meticulous attention to detail, identifying and resolving production issues promptly.
- Utilise basic engineering drawings to assist in inspection and quality verification.
- Efficiently distribute materials across machines in the production area.
- Keep to excellent housekeeping standards aligned with company policies.
- Operate safely at all times, adhering to health and safety policies.
- Collaborate effectively with a rotating 3-shift team to meet production targets.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferred).
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings (desirable).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work a rotating 3-shift pattern.
