Role Overview and Responsibilities
Introduction
We are seeking a Production Support Operator to join our Machine Shop Team—a key role responsible for ensuring continuous machine operation through material supply, machine support, and adherence to high safety and housekeeping standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain uninterrupted production by supplying machines with the correct bar stock and ensuring adequate lubrication levels.
- Carry out machine changeovers to accommodate new materials and production requirements.
- Support general machine upkeep to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Perform hourly quality checks with high attention to detail to identify and resolve production issues in the production area.
- Use basic engineering drawings to assist with inspection and quality verification.
- Distribute materials efficiently across machines in the production area.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards in line with company expectations.
- Work safely at all times, adhering to health and safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively within a 3-shift team to achieve production targets across the production area.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferred).
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings (desirable).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work on a rotating 3-shift pattern.
