Production Systems Technician

Quality Systems Co-ordinator


About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated, career-minded individual to join our FSQ (Food Safety & Quality) Department in Dunbia, based at our Retail site.

This role is operations-focused and involves managing business-critical IT systems that control technical and quality information on-site.

The Quality Systems Co-ordinator (QSC) will:

  • Work as part of an existing shift-based team
  • Passionate about technology and ensuring accurate system maintenance
  • Perform work across weekends, including overnight shifts

Responsibilities

The Quality Systems Co-ordinator will primarily:

  • Manage daily labelling operations across various IT systems:
    • Oversight of label designs, ensuring accuracy and compliance
    • Verification of online printed information across shop floor systems
  • Maintain PLU (Price Look-Up) files for products via data management and Emydex systems
  • Update retail pricing information in accordance with production schedules and deadlines
  • Maintain and amend batch traceability tables on relevant IT systems
  • Manage retail price lists, including changes and updates, with clear communication to:
    • Operations
    • FSQ Department
  • Generate and verify test labels and related system screen captures for:
    • Pre-operation approval
    • Ensuring accuracy, legality, compliance with customer and technical requirements
  • Final sign-off of approved designs with:
    • The Technical Account Manager
    • FSQ Staff
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve with Operations, IT and Maintenance teams to:
    • Maintain efficient labelling equipment
    • minimise downtime

Requirements

Essential

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a "can do" attitude
  • Proven interpersonal & time management abilities
  • Experience interfacing with key stakeholders, meeting deadlines under pressure
  • Ability to work shift work, including weekends and nights
  • Full UK clean driving licence
  • Strong computer literacy with experience of debugging and shop-floor IT systems

  • Industry-specific knowledge within:
    • The UK red meat supply chain
    • Quality assurance practices
  • Previous experience in:
    • The food industry
    • Quality management, labelling verification, or IT label system roles
  • Understanding of food labelling laws and regulations
