Production Team Leader
Production Team Leader - Malton, North Yorkshire
Location: Malton, North Yorkshire
Hours: Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern:
- 05:30 – 14:00
- 13:45 – 22:15
Salary: £14.45 per hour (paid weekly)
About the Role
Pro-Pak Foods is a major supplier of ready meals to many of the UK’s leading supermarkets and convenience stores. Our chefs have created a menu of over 200 quality meals.
We are seeking an experienced Production Team Leader to join our thriving operations team and help drive efficiency and excellence in production.
Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Development:
- Provide team leadership across production lines
- Develop and maintain a positive working environment
- Take ownership of training and development for team members, covering:
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Equipment instructions and maintenance
- Process Work Instructions (PWIs)
- Required records

Production & Quality Control:
- Ensure safe, on-time, and full execution of production plans
- Maintain high food safety standards while minimising waste and maximising yield
- Ensure high-quality product output
- Conduct competency assessments to certify team members meet required standards

Performance & Data Management:
- Maintain and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including:
- Effective Labour Utilisation
- Stock Control Management Systems
- Generate and report on yield, quality, volume, and cycle time metrics
- Investigating and documenting reasons for variations above or below standards
- Maintain and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including:

Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure designated work areas remain clean, well-maintained, and safe
- Conduct incidents and unsafe condition reportings and follow up on corrective actions
- Contribute to maintaining high housekeeping standards

- Technical & Operational Support:
- Work on Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
- Oversee advanced manufacturing and work order management
- Know when to escalate to the Area Operations Manager for additional support
Requirements
We are ideally looking for someone with:
- Proven experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
- strong team leadership experience
- Ability to take personal accountability for team performance

- 28 days annual leave, including bank holidays, with an option to purchase up to 5 extra days
