We are now seeking a Production Team Leader to join our Technical Operations organisation leading the transfer a new Drug Substance manufacturing process from Biopharmaceutical Development into Technical Operations for PPQ (Process Performance Qualification) and commercialisation. You’ll be responsible for managing a high-performing team to meet production targets while ensuring compliance with cGMP and EHS standards, and delivering the tech transfer project. You’ll drive the project forward, foster a culture of accountability, and support the development of your team. This role could also be suitable for someone in a scientific role who possesses knowledge about the bio development stage of the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take accountability for successful technology transfer and PPQ readiness, ensuring a smooth handover from Development to Technical Operations.
- Partner with cross-functional groups (PharmDev, QA, Engineering, Supply Chain) to troubleshoot, resolve issues, and support long-term commercial readiness.
- Lead, develop, and manage a team of operators, delivering the manufacturing schedule safely, efficiently, and compliantly. Build and maintain team capability, ensuring staff are trained, competent, and engaged.
- Drive a culture of accountability, operational discipline, and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the site’s strategy for operational excellence and sustainable growth.

Knowledge, skills & experience:
- Substantial experience within the pharmaceutical sector, specifically managing drug technology transfer and New Product Introduction (NPI) from R&D into commercial manufacturing.
- Project management capabilities.
- Strong working knowledge of cGMP and EHS compliance.
- Experience leading or supervising a manufacturing or technical operations team.
