Production Team Leader

About the Role
At Oxford Instruments Andor, we are devoted to accelerating the greatest scientific advancements of our age. Our Production Team Leader role sits within the QC Test Team in Cameras Production and entails supervising, managing, and motivating the Production team daily through a combination of guidance, instruction, training, and leadership.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide the main point of contact for all team members, ensuring they are aligned, motivated and directed toward shared goals.
- Exhibit a "can-do" attitude and strong problem-solving mindset.
- Delegation of tasks, overseeing operational output, and maintaining team performance.
- Providing strategic feedback on performance and reporting on key metrics.
- Liaising regularly with Engineering, Production Administration, and internal teams for updates on leads, timelines, and projects in QC Testing on the production floor.
- Drive team and internal process improvements with the Production Manager, aiming to enhance revenue streams and operational efficiencies.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
Academic
- A HNC/HND or equivalent with 3 years of relevant experience in a high-tech production environment, OR
- An ONC/OND qualification or equivalent with 5 years of relevant experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment
Experience & Skills
- Strong track record in supporting and training technical staff
- Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

This is a permanent, full-time onsite position based at our Belfast headquarters.
