About the Role

As Production Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in a busy manufacturing site, leading and developing a high-performing production team in a fast-paced environment. Reporting into senior operations leadership, your responsibilities will include:

  • Championing health and safety, driving performance against key KPIs, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Working on a permanent evening shift (Monday–Thursday, 14:30–01:00), ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of up to 20 production operatives.
  • Champion a strong health & safety culture, ensuring full compliance.
  • Drive production performance and exceed key KPIs:
    • Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
    • Available to Produce (ATP)
    • Parts Per Million (PPM)
    • Waste reduction
  • Ensure the consistent delivery of safe, high-quality products.
  • Monitor and improve operational processes to maximise efficiency and output.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the production line.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and well-organised working environment.
  • Communicate effectively across teams and shifts to ensure operational consistency.

Requirements

Successful candidates will have:

  • Proven experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • A strong people leadership mindset with a passion for coaching and developing others.
  • A results-driven mindset, demonstrating the ability to meet and exceed targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A team-focused approach with strong collaboration skills.
  • A proactive attitude towards continuous improvement and innovation.
