Production Team Leader

Production Team Leader Malton, North Yorkshire

(Monday to Friday on a rotating shift: 05:30–14:00 or 13:45–22:15) £14.45 per hour

About the Company

Pro-Pak Foods is a leading supplier of delicious ready meals to major UK超市 and convenience stores. Our team of chefs has created a menu of over 200 high-quality meals.

We are seeking a Production Team Leader to join our growing operations team and take our operations to the next level.


About the Role

As Production Team Leader, you will:

  • Provide leadership and mentorship across production lines
  • Develop and maintain a positive working environment
  • Oversee training and continual development of team members in:
    • Standard Operating Procedures
    • Equipment operations
    • Process Work Instructions
    • Required recording and compliance standards

Key Responsibilities

  • SOP Maintenance & Reporting:
    • Maintain management systems for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including Effective Labour Utilisation and Stock Control Management.

  • Team Competence & Compliance:

    • Ensure all team members demonstrate regulatory competence in tasks and operations.
    • Conduct assessments and standard competency reviews.
  • Production Execution & Safety:

    • Support shift teams in delivering the production plan—ensuring high food safety standards, minimal waste, optimum yield, and quality control.
    • Oversee standard reporting (yield, quality, volume, cycle times) alongside performance analysis (positives/negatives).
  • Work Environment & Safety:

    • Maintain clean and safe working conditions, including designated areas.
    • Report all incidents, hazards, and unsafe conditions, contributing to investigations and follow-up actions.
  • Housekeeping & Efficiency:

    • Uphold high housekeeping standards during shifts.
  • Digital Operations:

    • Engage with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
    • Manage advanced manufacturing and work order processes.

Required Skills & Experience

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
  • Team leadership experience
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability in managing a team
