Kleboe Jardine are delighted to be partnering with an exciting Scottish medical device start-up to add to their growing team.
The company is developing next-generation surgical technology designed for use within robotic-assisted surgery, combining advanced engineering with high-precision manufacturing to develop miniaturised ultrasonic surgical instruments.

๐ The Opportunity
We're looking for a Production Technician to join a highly skilled technical team in Glasgow. This is a hands-on role focused on the precision assembly and manufacture of advanced surgical instruments, working with intricate CNC-machined components and micron-level tolerances. You'll work closely with Engineering and R&D, supporting both production activities and the build of prototypes as technologies continue to progress through development. If you enjoy meticulous, hands-on work, thrive in technical environments, and take pride in producing high-quality products, this is an opportunity to contribute directly to the development and manufacture of next-generation medical technology.

๐ What You'll Be Doing
- Assembling precision CNC-machined components into advanced surgical instruments
- Carrying out detailed mechanical and micro-mechanical assembly activities
- Working closely with R&D and Engineering to support prototype builds and design iterations
- Performing precise alignment of small and intricate components
- Applying epoxies and adhesives as part of the assembly process
- Carrying out fine soldering activities where required
- Following detailed SOPs, technical drawings, and work instructions
- Conducting in-process inspections and maintaining accurate build documentation
- Identifying and communicating potential assembly or manufacturing improvements
- Taking ownership of the quality and accuracy of completed work
๐ฏ What We're Looking For
Essential
- Experience in precision mechanical, micro-mechanical, or technical assembly
- Confidence working with small, delicate, and high-precision components
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
- Ability to follow SOPs, technical drawings, and detailed build instructions
- High personal accountability for quality and accuracy
- A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to contribute within a growing team

Desirable
- Experience within medical devices, surgical instruments, aerospace, optics, electronics, or another precision manufacturing environment
- Experience working within a regulated manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with ISO 13485 would be advantageous
- Experience with fine soldering, adhesives, or precision alignment techniques
Qualifications
- An apprenticeship or technical qualification in Mechanical, Precision, or Manufacturing Engineering would be beneficial, although equivalent hands-on industry experience will also be considered.
