Summary:

At South East Water, we provide an essential service, and our production sites are the heart of that operation. This isn't just another maintenance job; it’s a chance to take ownership of complex electrical systems across our pumping stations, reservoirs, and treatment works.

We are particularly keen to hear from those with industrial experience—we need people who understand the scale and pace of maintaining our vital infrastructure. Whether you are a seasoned pro looking for a better work-life balance, or rising talent eager to apply your industrial knowledge to a vital public service, you’ll find a highly supportive environment here.

The Role: What You'll Be Doing

As a member of our electrical team you will ensure our water keeps flowing by maintaining, repairing, and installing everything from intricate control panels to high-capacity industrial pumps. No two days are the same in this varied and vital position.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance & Installation: Repair, maintain, and install electrical plant and water treatment equipment (including control panels, pumps, motors, chemical dosing equipment, and water quality analysers). Contractor Supervision: Liaise with, supervise, and work alongside external contractors undertaking works on-site. Team Collaboration: Assist the wider Production team with specialised tasks, including Confined Space Entries. Compliance & Safety: Issue Permits to Work, adhere strictly to Health & Safety legislation, company policies, and Production Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Asset Management: Update site operating manuals, monitor site security, and assist with engineering capital works. Digital Administration: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in our work management systems, alongside daily admin (timesheets, H&S forms, vehicle logs). Emergency Support: Take part in a Standby rota to provide essential out-of-hours support to the operational area.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
