Production Technician Electrical
Production Technician – Electrical assembly (Groundbreaking, High-Tech Products)
The Opportunity
Join our innovative Production team and seize this incredible chance to contribute to the assembly of groundbreaking, high-tech products. You will enhance your skills while tackling some of the most intricate system configurations. To excel in this role, a strong engineering background and high level of technical skills and knowledge are essential. Be part of something exciting and impactful!
You will be contracted to work on a rotating shift pattern. Each working week consists of 4 shifts of 8 hours and one of 5 hours, with enhanced shift rates applied. Current shifts include:
- Early Shift (06:00–14:00 hrs)
- Afternoon Shift (14:00–22:00 hrs Mon–Thu; 06:00–11:00 & 11:00–16:00 on Fridays)
Key Responsibilities
(Including but not limited to:)
- Build systems, sub-assemblies, and piece parts for complex systems—efficiently, to right quality levels, ISO standards, and build schedules
- Ensure that BOM and customer specifications are met in full
- Identify and resolve build problems promptly
- Report technical issues and record them using the FRACAS process
- Maintain technical competence by completing necessary training
- Act as a technical point of reference to ensure all technicians understand the build sequence
- Train and guide less experienced technicians
- Set an example of meticulous build cleanliness, housekeeping, and Health & Safety in build areas, supporting 5S initiatives
- Contribute to continuous improvement within the Production Team
- Work within shift rotations, with rotas communicated by your Team Leader

About You
Essential (unless otherwise stated):
- Time-served Electrical Apprenticeship (e.g., City & Guilds Part 3) OR • HND, HNC, or BTEC at Level 3 (Engineering/Electrical related)
- Detailed wiring skills, including:
- Lead-free soldering (precision level)
- Panel wiring to schematics with accuracy
- Ability to read electrical drawings
- Fault-finding and corrective action implementation
- Ideally: Combination of mechanical, electrical, and electronic assembly skills
- Ideally: Experience in semiconductor industry manufacturing
- Proficient PC Skills
- Highly committed team player with self-discipline, punctuality, and flexibility
- Adherence to hygiene, safety, and quality standards
- Strong communication skills
