Production Technician – Stourton Dairy, LS10 4 on 4 off shifts (bowtie symbol is days/nights)

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Quality

  • Foster a health and safety mindset across the team
  • Identify potential hazards and apply food safety procedures (HACCP)
  • Ensuring hygienergic hygiene practices and compliance with CIP maintenance schedules

Performance & Optimisation

  • Understands and drives departmental KPIs (Overall Equipment Effectiveness/OEE)
  • Monitor plan adherence and cost savings initiatives
  • Reduces operational losses and streamlines labour allocation

Lean & Continuous Improvement

  • Utilise lean methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis and Lead Standard Work
  • Champion a process improvement mindset
  • Embrace workflows designed for optimal multi-shift efficiency

Leadership & Team Coordination

  • Lead by example and mentor team members
  • Facilitate prompt conflict resolution
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and site departments
  • Deluxe as team Leader representative during absences

General Duties

  • Maintain compliance with food safety and workplace health standards
  • Ensure preventive maintenance regimes and shift handovers
  • Contribute to a starture of safety and efficiency

Requirements

Applicants should possess:

✔ 3–5 years in an FMCG or food manufacturing management or supervisory role ✔ Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Teams ✔ Clear communication and teamwork ability ✔ Knowledge of health and food safety protocols
