Job Title: Production Technician

Location: Osprey Quay, Portland (Site-Based)
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Contract: Fixed Term – 6 Months

About the Role

G3 Systems is seeking a proactive and skilled Production Technician to join our team at our Osprey Quay, Portland site on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced production and engineering environment, supporting the delivery of high-quality integrated systems. The successful candidate will work closely with the Production Supervisor and wider team to ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete production tasks as directed by the Production Supervisor
  • Identify materials required to successfully achieve production tasks
  • Monitor build quality and report production snags in accordance with company processes
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
  • Comply with Integrated Management System (IMS) operating procedures
  • Maintain accurate project route cards during production
  • Conduct local Health & Safety risk assessments
  • Work safely at all times, ensuring the safety of self and others
  • Maintain a tidy and organised work area as part of daily activities
  • Ensure the safe use, storage, and handling of COSHH-controlled items
  • Maintain tooling and integration facility equipment
  • Travel within the UK and overseas as required on company business
  • Carry out other tasks within your ability and competence as directed

  • Relevant trade qualification with appropriate experience
  • City & Guilds Part 1 & 2 (or equivalent) preferred

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience within a production or engineering environment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Competent in the use of hand, mains-powered, and battery-operated tools
  • Ability to follow instructions clearly and work safely
  • Basic IT skill
