Product/Service Specialist – EMC/Wireless (global role covering UK, Ireland, Nordics & Eastern Europe)

Imagine getting your hands on new technology before it hits the shelves. To dig deep and figure out exactly how it works. That’s what we do at UL Solutions—where we lift the lid and test the boundaries of products like health-monitoring smartwatches and electric vehicles packed with cutting-edge software. This is your opportunity to join an international Product/Service Specialist role focused on ULS’ EMC/Wireless portfolio, driving new business across the UK, Ireland, the Nordics, and Eastern Europe.

This dynamic, customer-focused sales role prioritises individuals with strong technical expertise combined with a passion for innovation, problem-solving, and relationship-building.

About the Role

Driven by your self-initiative, you’ll act as a technology and solutions sales expert, delivering ULS’ testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) services for EMC/Wireless applications. This role marries customer-centric approach with technical innovation, ensuring seamless service delivery from initial engagement to contract fulfillment and beyond.

As a key member of our global safety science community, you’ll connect customers with trusted UL solutions that shape the future of large-scale industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy & Account Development

    • Drive business development for ULS’ EMC/Wireless portfolio, forging and maintaining high-value customer relationships across designated markets.
    • Propose custom-solution systems for complex technical sales opportunities, demonstrating EMC/Wireless compliance, standards, and innovations.
    • Own the full sales cycle (lead generation, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, closing), leveraging internal sales support when needed.
  • Customer Engagement & Consultation

    • Conduct deep technical dialogues with clients—both in-person and remotely—to assess their needs, recommend the most-effective TIC services, and align with ULS’ portfolio.
    • Engage with inbound and outbound prospects, dissecting use cases, technical requirements, and purchasing processes to secure new business.
    • Present compelling, value-driven sales proposals backed by technical expertise.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
