Professional Indemnity Claims Solicitor

Salary: £70,000–£80,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: London

Are you an experienced Professional Indemnity Solicitor with a background in defendant insurance litigation looking for your next challenge?

Our client is a highly respected specialist organisation operating within the insurance and claims management sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced solicitor to join their Professional Indemnity team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-value defendant professional indemnity claims, acting on behalf of insurers and insured professionals. You'll manage a varied caseload involving claims against SRA and FCA regulated professionals, providing strategic, commercially focused legal advice from first notification through to resolution.

The Role

Working as part of a specialist team, you will manage professional indemnity claims on behalf of insurers and their insureds, ensuring claims are handled efficiently, fairly and in line with policy coverage and regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a caseload of defendant professional indemnity claims from inception through to conclusion.
  • Handling claims involving SRA regulated law firms and solicitors, together with FCA regulated professionals.
  • Investigating liability, indemnity, causation and quantum issues.
  • Advising insurers and insured professionals on policy coverage, litigation strategy and claims resolution.
  • Instructing and liaising with panel solicitors, counsel, experts and other stakeholders where appropriate.
  • Negotiating settlements and overseeing defended litigation.
  • Building strong relationships with insurers, brokers, insureds and other key stakeholders.
  • Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
