About the Department
We’re expanding Cloudflare’s Global Professional Services organization in London, focusing on consultancy for customers adopting our developer platform and application services. Our team partners with clients and engineering efforts to:
- Build, deploy, and optimize modern applications on Cloudflare
- Provide technical expertise tailored to diverse organizational needs
This internship offers hands-on exposure across projects led by project managers, coordinators, and technical consultants that deliver solutions leveraging Cloudflare’s technologies.
About the Role
This 12-week internship supports the Professional Services (PS) team with a dual focus on manual project tasks and AI-powered automation for internal operations. You’ll:
- Assist experienced PS consultants while developing foundational skills
- Work alongside mentors to deliver technical solutions for global customers
- Contribute to projects that enhance Cloudflare’s internal AI capabilities

As an AI Infrastructure & Automation Intern, your work will bridge business optimizations with cutting-edge technology, ensuring smoother customer adoption of our platform through data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities

AI Prototyping for Operations
- Design and deploy AI-driven prototypes (LLMs, RAG architectures, predictive models) to automate manual workflows in:
- Project management ecosystem
- Resource planning
- Build models to optimize future forecasting and resource allocation through automated data processing.

Engineering Collaboration
- Partner with engineering teams to:
- Identify, clean, and structure high-volume post-sales data for training and model fine-tuning
- Ensure seamless integration between AI tools and internal systems

Model Optimization
- Refine system prompts and parameters to enhance output accuracy and eliminate hallucinations.
- Become “the technical translator” between leadership ideas and realizable MVPs.

Collaboration & Documentation
- Contribute to internal knowledge bases and documentation to improve team efficiency.
- Develop collateral (e.g., guides) across PMO and resourcing workflows.

Workflow Control & Enforcement
- Document and standardize project workflows and deployment steps for internal teams and customers.
Skills & Qualifications
Essential
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
- Business (especially with an AI element)
- Project Management
- A related technical field
- Full-time, part-remote (3–5 days/week availability) commitment from September–December in London, UK
- Strong verbal/written/visual communication skills for:
- Project goal articulation
- Progress updates across teams
- Ability to collaborate with diverse teams (developers, designers, managers) and resolve conflicts constructively.
- Proactive problem-solving with qualified bottlenecks—no wait-for-instruction approach.
- Adaptability: embracing scope changes and unexpected challenges with agility.
- Anticipatory mindset: identifying team needs before they’re formally requested.
- Commitment to leveraging internal mentorship and networking for skill development.
