About the Role

As a Cato Networks Professional Services Solutions Architect, you will be a trusted advisor who bridges business goals and technology implementation for our customers. You will provide technical guidance and direction to ensure the Cato SASE solution's smooth and successful implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the solutions design on complex projects both in pre-sales and post-sales motions.
  • Provide technical oversight and act as technical escalation for a portfolio of projects.
  • Drive development and enhancement of Cato PS best practices, knowledge base articles, reference architectures, methodology.
  • Provide architectural oversight and design validation for partners.
  • Perform design and implementation review for both internal and partner deployments, and provide technical feedback on areas of improvement.
  • Be Cato’s Professional Services thought leader on SASE and adoption best practices.
  • Act as Cato SASE deep subject matter expert, providing content and oversight to best practice and training creation.
  • Act as Product Management liaison for product feedback, customer EA engagements, and facilitation project enhancement & roadmap.
  • Provide CS assistance with deployment project scoping and technical planning.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with key stakeholders within the customer as well as Cato’s teams (Sales, Customer Success, R&D, and Support Engineering), adopting a consultative and prescriptive approach that inspires trust and confidence.
  • Help synthesize learning and trends observed in the field into repeatable technology best practices in collaboration with other Cato functions.
  • Maintain expert-level implementation proficiency and the ability to implement any Cato product independently while keeping abreast of the dynamic SASE and enterprise networking landscape.
  • Coordinate and facilitate customer onboarding training.
  • Foster collaboration with our product, support, and engineering teams and provide feedback from the field on features and functionality.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a multi-vendor network or security infrastructure as an architect or senior-level engineer ideally responsible for solution design and/or implementation.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in routing (static, BGP, EIGRP, etc.) and switching plus at least 3 of the following domains:
    • SD-WAN
    • Firewall, Proxy
    • Secure Web Gateway/CASB/DLP
    • Identity Management (SSO, SAML, LDAP, etc.)
    • IPS
    • Load Balancing
    • Networking protocol analysis (TCP, UPD, IP, ICMP, etc.)
    • WAN, MPLS
    • API and AI security gateways
    • Kubernetes container deployment and management.
  • 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing role (consulting, professional services, pre-sales, managed services) for a high-tech software or technology vendor performing architectural design including creation of HLD and LLD documentation.
  • Experience with designing and managing network infrastructure with at least one of the three major public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Exposure to web-based APIs and scripting languages.
  • Excellent customer interaction and presentation skills (ability to clearly articulate to different audiences and bring the message across in a concise, professional manner).
  • Ability to influence and persuade at all levels and gain a ‘Trusted Advisor’ status with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with innate ability to methodically get to the root of issues.
  • Adept at using AI tooling for optimization of work (e.g., ChatGPT, Claud, etc.).
  • Must be very well organized and able to work effectively in a nimble and fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working within a geographically distributed team for a hypergrowth global organization.
  • Industry-recognized certification from a major network vendor is a plus.
  • Solid command of the English language (written and spoken) with each additional language a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
