What you'll be doing

An exciting opportunity for a permanent position in the Superintendent Pharmacist's Office (SPO) is available. The role would be great for a pharmacy advisor who is passionate about patient-centred care and has high professional standards. The role involves working predominately to support the management of pharmacy incidents and complaints, as well as getting involved in other administrative tasks to support the rest of the SPO team.

This role will be a good opportunity for anyone looking to try a Support Office role and gain insights into the SPO team but also build relationships with other colleagues within the Pharmacy function.

The successful candidate will report into the Patient Safety Development Manager and will be part of the Central Professional Standards team within the SPO.

Key responsibilities

  • This role holder will be involved in reviewing the Pharmacy Incident and Events Reporting System (PIERS) to identify urgent pharmacy complaints and incidents and highlighting them to the relevant central SPO team/field team members
  • Support the central SPO team with administrative tasks, such as maintaining field contact lists, outgoing mail, filing, archiving and telephone calls
  • There will be the opportunity to understand the PIERS system in more detail by creating daily reports, managing contact lists and extracting data
  • The role holder will be expected to make links with the Customer Care team, field teams and internal teams in order to support the management of professional pharmacy complaints and incidents
  • Maintain lists of registered professionals; regularly check provisional and temporary GPhC registers
  • Provide advice to both central and store based team members where appropriate e.g. regarding registration compliance, CD destruction

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
