Professional Support Lawyer - Commercial
Commercial & Data Knowledge Lawyer
A leading international law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial & Data Lawyer to join its award-winning Commercial and Technology practice in London. This is a rare opportunity for an established Knowledge Lawyer or senior commercial lawyer looking to transition from fee-earning to play a central role in shaping the firm’s knowledge, innovation and legal technology strategy.

The Role
You will support market-leading Commercial, Technology Outsourcing and Data & Cyber teams, working on a combination of commercial contracts, technology, data protection, AI and legal innovation. The role combines high-level knowledge management with a strategic mandate to drive AI-enabled solutions, client-facing products and enhanced service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Leading knowledge management, precedents and best-practice guidance across commercial, technology, outsourcing and data matters
- Translating AI and legal-tech strategy into practical tools, workflows and client-facing solutions
- Supporting lawyers on complex commercial, technology, outsourcing, data protection and cyber matters
- Producing thought leadership, horizon scanning and regulatory insight (including AI governance)
- Designing and delivering internal and client training programmes
- Collaborating with legal tech, IT, risk and BD teams to improve efficiency and client delivery
- Supporting pitches, panel responses and innovation initiatives

About You
Experienced Knowledge Lawyer or senior commercial lawyer:
- At least 4+ years’ PQE
- Strong background in commercial contracts, technology, outsourcing, data protection and cyber
- Demonstrated interest in AI, legal innovation and technology-enabled service delivery
- Ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, practical guidance
- Excellent drafting, communication and project-management skills
