About the role
At Salix Homes, resident safety is our highest priority. We're delivering a major, multi-million-pound Building Safety Remediation Programme, transforming eight high-rise residential buildings through the Government's Cladding Safety Scheme.
As our Programme Coordinator, you'll play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of this complex programme. Working alongside the Senior Programme Manager, you'll help coordinate programme governance, reporting, stakeholder engagement, financial monitoring and programme controls, ensuring activities are effectively planned, monitored and delivered.
This is a varied and rewarding role, providing the opportunity to work across multiple projects and with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You'll work closely with colleagues across the organisation, consultants, contractors, Homes England and other partners to ensure information is accurate, risks and actions are effectively managed, and governance requirements are met.
If you're highly organised, enjoy bringing structure to complex programmes and thrive in a collaborative environment, this is an opportunity to make a real difference by supporting the delivery of improvements that will enhance the safety of our residents for years to come.
What you will be responsible for
- Coordinate programme governance, meetings, reporting and key actions.
- Maintain programme controls, including risks, issues, decisions and action logs.
- Produce reports, dashboards and presentations to support programme governance.
- Monitor programme progress, highlighting risks, dependencies and issues.
- Maintain accurate programme documentation, records and audit trails.
- Support financial monitoring, funding records and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement and information across internal and external partners.
- Support procurement, consultant and contractor coordination.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of programme governance and reporting.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
