Role Overview

This position is based in the UK Finance Transformation Consulting practice, focusing on large-scale Finance Strategy and Transformation initiatives for Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurers.

Primary Responsibilities

You will lead finance operating model changes, modernise platforms (Oracle ERP and SAP), and optimise financial close, controls, reporting, and financial insights within complex insurance environments—collaborating closely with CFOs, finance directors, and senior leaders.

  • Reporting to: UKI Head of Finance Transformation Consulting

Key Responsibilities

1. Client & Delivery Leadership

  • Lead finance strategy and transformation engagements for insurance clients, working directly with CFOs, Finance Directors,FP&A, and Financial Controls leadership.
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of insurance finance programmes, including:
    • Finite operating model design
    • Roadmap definition
    • Execution governance
  • Drive transformations in:
    • Record to Report
    • Financial Close
    • FP&A
    • Management Reporting
  • Act as the senior escalation point for delivery risk, governance, and stakeholder alignment.

2. Insurance Finance Focus

  • Apply deep expertise in insurance finance data flows, including:
    • Premiums
    • Claims
    • Reinsurance
    • Reserves
    • Actuarial inputs
  • Support regulatory, audit, and solvency-driven finance changes.
  • Partner with actuarial, underwriting, and operations teams to enhance:
    • Data quality
    • Reconciliation processes
  • Drive simplification and standardization across complex insurance finance environments.

3. Transformation Platforms

  • Lead finance platform transformations, prioritizing:
    • Oracle Fusion ERP
    • EPM and FCCS
    • SAP S/4HANA (where applicable)
  • Shape and deliver business cases for finance modernisation programs.
  • Oversee improvements in:
    • Close acceleration
    • Automation
    • Controls enhancements

4. Business Development & Growth

  • Create finance transformation roadmaps and investment cases for insurers.
  • Support client engagements focused on Oracle-led finance modernisation.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with senior insurance stakeholders.

5. GBL & Cross-Service Collaboration

  • Partner with Global Business Lines, Service Management Units (SMUs), and Client Engagement Partners to deliver integrated solutions under the “One Wipro” model.
  • Influence stakeholders across regions, functions, and service lines for shared success in a global, matrix-driven environment.

6. People & Practice Leadership

  • Lead and mentor consulting teams while building insurance finance capabilities.
  • Set high standards for delivery excellence and commercial outcomes.
  • Fuel account growth through consultative selling, shaping propositions, and expanding strategic client engagement.
  • Develop reusable intellectual property (IP)—enhancing Wipro Consulting’s credibility.
  • Nurture talent within the insurance finance transformation practice.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking dynamic professionals with:

  • Experience from Big Four, Accenture, or other top-tier consulting firms.
  • A proven track record of delivering large-scale transformations.

Skills & Experience

Core Capabilities

  • 10+ years in finance strategy and transformation within insurance (P&C preferred).
  • Strong leadership of large-scale finance initiatives.
  • Deep insurance finance process knowledge:
    • Record to Report
    • Financial Close
    • FP&A
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP and/or SAP transformations.
  • Extensive oversight of regulated and audit-driven environments.
  • Understanding of CFO-driven business metrics and alignment with operational KPIs.

Finance Process Expertise

  • Record to Report & Finance Close optimisation

  • FP&A insights for insurance-specific metrics:

    • Loss ratio
    • Expense ratio
    • Combined ratio
  • Order to Cash operations, including:

    • Premium billing
    • Bordereaux processing
  • Procure to Pay flows, focusing on:

    • Claims suppliers
    • Reinsurance partners

Digital Finance & Tools

  • Expertise in:

    • Oracle Fusion ERP
    • EPM & FCCS integrations
    • SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation
  • Vendor collaboration experience with:

    • BlackLine
    • High Radius
    • FIS
    • Process automation tools (Celonis, Signavio)
  • Financial platform integration with upstream policy and claims systems.

Thought Leadership

  • Contributes to renewable thought leadership in insurance finance.
  • Supports honest client-facing engagement and market differentiation.
  • Remains a respected representative of Wipro Consulting in industry forums.
