Program Manager
Transition Programme Manager
We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead a large-scale, business-critical service transition programme for a major telecommunications organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to oversee the mobilisation and delivery of a complex, multi-workstream transformation involving operational, commercial and supplier transitions. You'll be responsible for driving programme governance, stakeholder engagement and successful delivery across multiple interconnected projects, ensuring service continuity while achieving key commercial and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of a complex service transition programme, comprising multiple strategic workstreams
- Establish programme governance, reporting, RAID management and executive communications
- Manage programme mobilisation, planning and execution across internal teams and third-party suppliers
- Coordinate transition activities between incumbent and incoming service providers
- Ensure programme milestones, budgets, risks and dependencies are effectively managed
- Drive collaboration across technical, operational, commercial and procurement stakeholders
- Oversee transition planning, shadowing, knowledge transfer, cutover and hypercare activities
- Ensure services transition with minimal operational disruption while meeting agreed business outcomes

Essential Experience
- Proven experience delivering complex service transition or transformation programmes
- Strong background managing multi-workstream programmes with multiple project managers
- Experience working within telecommunications, managed services or large infrastructure environments
- Demonstratable experience managing third-party suppliers and commercial transitions
- Strong governance, risk, financial and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent executive communication and leadership abilities
- Experience delivering operational transitions involving cutover and hypercare

Desirable
- Knowledge of network operations or telecoms infrastructure
- Experience with ITIL and service management environments
- PRINCE2 Practitioner, MSP, Agile or equivalent programme management certifications
Compensation & Location
- £575 per day (outside IR35)
- 6 months initial contract duration
- Newbury – Hybrid working
