Section 2 – Purpose of the Role

As a DD&T Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in planning and coordinating IT Procurement projects, ensuring the delivery of optimal technology solutions. Collaborating with a dedicated procurement team and multidisciplinary IT professionals, you’ll validate requirements, manage vendor engagement, and ensure projects meet time, cost, and quality criteria.

Section 4- Key Accountabilities

As the Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Project delivery governance
  • Budget forecasting and financial management
  • Maintaining and updating the delivery plan
  • Managing dependencies, risks, and issues
  • Engaging and managing stakeholders
  • Providing insightful project reporting

Section 5 – Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Create detailed project plans, ensuring task ownership and tracking milestones
  • Collaborate closely with Business Analysts and stakeholders to validate business requirements
  • Lead a cross-functional team, including third-party suppliers, to ensure successful delivery
  • Manage critical dependencies and risks across interconnected projects
  • Oversee investment proposal accuracy and governance structures
  • Report on project KPIs and regulatory commitments
  • Facilitate effective communication and documentation processes
  • Conduct RAID management and provide status updates to the Programme Management Board

Section 6 – Main Interfaces

You will work closely with:

  • Procurement team
  • Vendor Management resources
  • Business Analysts
  • Senior Stakeholders
  • Project and Programme Managers
  • Technical Leads and Solution Architects

Section 7 – Qualifications and Experience

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Strong experience in IT services procurement and contract management
  • Extensive knowledge of IT delivery models and project lifecycles
  • Proven leadership and relationship-building skills
  • A track record of delivering IT projects across multiple teams
  • Experience in Agile environments
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2) are essential; Agile PM or SAFe certifications are desirable
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project)
