EMS Businesses: Wewise Europe
In addition to driving decarbonisation with a range of alternative biofuels and gases, DCC Energy has also scaled a leading electron-based Energy Management Service (EMS) business; underpinned by several solar acquisitions across Europe in the last four years.
Operating under the Wewise brand, this network of B2B green power businesses is well positioned to support the energy transition by offering a wide array of energy solutions across 8 countries and 12+ businesses (>300 MW solar installed in FY26 + add-on products).

The Team
The delivery of our ambitious strategy depends on the people who bring it to life. Our energetic and agile European team has been operating for over 2 years to accelerate and lead the delivery of DCC’s EMS strategy, focusing on top-line and bottom-line synergies.
The team works across more than 12 EMS businesses in Germany, the UK, France, Austria, Ireland, Norway and Denmark (with more countries to come), bringing these operations together, and turning shared opportunities into real value.

It is a small, dynamic and collaborative multi-cultural team focused on supporting local entrepreneurial teams, unlocking synergies, whilst contributing to strategic discussions at Group level. Each team member leads their own area of focus with autonomy and accountability.
In the first year, the team was built. In the second, it tested pilots and proved what works. The focus now is on scaling these results across the business.

The Opportunity
DCC is seeking to recruit an outstanding candidate to replace one member of this team in September 2026.
The role of Program Manager and Operations Partner offers an exceptional opportunity to shape the growth and direction of our B2B renewable energy businesses across Europe.
The role is responsible for:
- driving bottom-line, operational synergies across the EMS businesses,
- overall management, monitoring and progress on the EMS program, in collaboration with the Wewise Europe MD.
Success in this role can make a real difference to the performance of our local businesses and play a key role in shaping our strategy.
Key Responsibilities
As a key member of the Wewise Europe team, working closely with the Managing Director and other peers across Europe, your primary responsibilities will include:
Program Management
- Proactively suggest new operating models, governance options and synergy prioritisation to the MD and other key decision-makers in DCC. Draft MVPs for new projects.
- Co-lead the team with the MD and be the MD's interim.
- Build and communicate the quarterly report, analysing performance across all businesses.
- Support the MD and the team in setting, preparing and monitoring the annual budget and contracting process
Supply Chain and Procurement
- Manage the Supply Chain Lead, whose role is to deliver savings from joint procurement across all European renewable businesses, with a focus on solar PV modules, inverters, cables and batteries
- Be recognised as centre of excellence on procurement and supply chain
- Bring support more specifically to the Supply Chain Lead on implementing a broader supply chain roadmap and a central trading desk
Design & Engineering
- Implement new, innovative solar system design tools in the EMS businesses to accelerate and improve quote generation processes
- Pilot and roll-out engineering tools that accelerate technical teams, improve quality, and support handover processes to operational teams
- Evaluate and progress the opportunity of a centralised design and/or engineering team across Europe
- Be recognised as centre of excellence on design and engineering

Broader Operational Efficiencies
- Continuously identify the potential of other operational efficiencies across the EMS businesses, and then implement these once identified
- Share operational best practices between businesses and countries to boost productivity
- Support the central DCC HSE team
Organic Expansion
- Co-develop a plan for organic expansion into new geographies, collaborate with local EMS businesses which are adjacent to new markets to leverage existing capacities and resources, and lead engagement with relevant leadership to arrive at go/no-go decisions for new market entry
The Candidate
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Renewable Energy, Sustainability, Energy Management, or a related field.
- Typically, 5 to 10+ years’ relevant experience in project management, operations, engineering, strategy and/or a related field, though we welcome candidates with equivalent expertise and capability.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, communication and influencing skills, to build trusted relationships and secure buy-in across local businesses, and central functions alike.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work at pace and switch effectively between strategic, operational and delivery-focused topics.
- Strong program and project leadership capability, with experience leading cross-functional initiatives from early-stage problem definition and business case development through to implementation and delivery.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to bring structure to ambiguity, define clear problem statements and develop practical, value-creating solutions.
- Intellectually curious and hands-on, with the ability to get up to speed quickly in unfamiliar areas, build subject matter understanding and move confidently from analysis into action.
- A high level of energy, resilience and accountability, with a clear bias toward delivery, impact and follow-through.
- Fluency in English is essential, ideally proficiency in at least one other European language (preferably French or German).

We are prioritising candidates based in the following countries: UK, Ireland, Germany, France or Poland. Regular work travel across Europe is required as part of the role. Office locations are available in the countries where we are hiring, the position can also be remote (flexible).
