Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- 8 years of experience in EHS, including managing EHS programs and teams in operational environments (e.g., data centers, industrial settings)
- 5 years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports
Preferred Qualifications
- 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects
- Experience working in a rapidly scaling global organization, especially in the EMEA region
- Experience working with vendors to improve EHS programs and drive performance plans

As a Senior EHS Operations Area Manager, you’ll drive health and safety and sustainability initiatives on a regional scale. You’ll lead cross-functional teams and projects to enhance EHS practices, directly impacting the well-being of Google employees worldwide. This role blends strategic leadership, industry expertise, and cooperative collaboration, making it ideal for someone passionate about meaningful, lasting change.

Responsibilities
- Manage the regional portfolio of EHS initiatives across all local operations and regional programs
- Oversee a team of EHS Program Managers (PgMs), ensuring the effective and efficient execution of Google’s EHS programs and projects across the region
- Support PMs in incident investigations and track corrective/preventive actions to closure
- Develop and implement strategic EHS plans, aligning goals with Google’s overall EHS vision and objectives
- Foster strong stakeholder relationships (both internal and external) to promote safety, compliance, and sustainability
- Lead strategic EHS initiatives and participate in organizational-level planning, contributing to long-term EHS strategy and regional alignment with all EHS verticals
