Part-Time Programmatic SEO (pSEO) Technical Consultant – Healthcare Job Platform
Location: Remote (U.S. Preferred) Job Type: Independent Contractor Time Commitment: Approximately 5 Hours per Week

As we expand, we are investing heavily in Programmatic SEO (pSEO) to build scalable, high-quality landing pages that drive organic traffic across healthcare professions, specialties, locations, employers, and job types.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Programmatic SEO (pSEO) Technical Consultant, with a strong software development background, to serve as a strategic advisor to our Software Development, SEO Team, and Marketing teams.
This is not a hands-on execution role. Instead, you'll:
- Provide technical oversight of our pSEO implementation
- Review architectural decisions
- Identify SEO risks
- Help us build a scalable platform capable of supporting hundreds of thousands of search-optimized pages.
This consulting engagement requires approximately 5 hours per week with flexible scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate our current Programmatic SEO architecture and implementation
- Provide technical guidance on building scalable SEO systems for a large healthcare job marketplace
- Validate architectural decisions before new features are deployed
- Recommend best practices for generating dynamic landing pages for:
- Healthcare professions
- Medical specialties
- Cities and states
- Employers
- Job types
- Certifications
- Salary pages
- Advise on:
- URL structure
- Taxonomy
- Internal linking
- Information architecture
- Review:
- Indexing strategies
- Canonicalization
- Crawlability
- Duplicate-content prevention
- Recommend improvements for structured data (Schema.org) implementation
- Optimize crawl budget and improve indexation of large-scale dynamic content
- Work with developers to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into the product roadmap
- Review AI-assisted content generation strategies to ensure quality, uniqueness, and scalability
- Provide recommendations to improve:
- Core Web Vitals
- Overall technical performance
- Stay current on:
- Google’s algorithm updates
- Emerging Programmatic SEO best practices
- Participate in weekly strategy meetings and provide ongoing technical guidance

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical SEO experience
- Demonstrated success implementing Programmatic SEO at scale
- Strong software engineering or full-stack development background
- Experience building or advising websites with tens or hundreds of thousands of indexed pages
- Deep understanding of:
- Technical SEO
- Website architecture
- Crawl budget optimization
- Indexation
- Canonical tags
- XML sitemaps
- robots.txt
- Structured data
- Internal linking strategies
- Experience with:
- Google Search Console
- Google Analytics 4
- Ahrefs or Semrush
- Screaming Frog
- Looker Studio
- Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, and marketing teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with healthcare, staffing, recruitment, or job board platforms
- Experience scaling websites to millions of monthly organic visits
- Familiarity with AI-powered content generation and automation workflows
- Experience with:
- JavaScript frameworks: Next.js, React, Node.js
- Python, SQL, or similar technologies
- Experience with:
- Server-side rendering (SSR)
- Static site generation (SSG)
- API-driven architectures
- Knowledge of:
- Google Indexing API
- Structured data automation
- Enterprise SEO

Within the first few months, you will help us:
- Validate and strengthen our pSEO architecture
- Improve scalability for hundreds of thousands of healthcare-specific landing pages
- Increase indexation and organic visibility
- Improve:
- Crawl efficiency
- Technical SEO performance
- Establish scalable SEO best practices that support long-term growth
- Help position our healthcare job platform as a leading organic search destination for healthcare employment
Compensation
- Competitive hourly consulting rate based on experience and expertise in the U.S.
- Rate: $200 to $300 per hour (depending on skill and experience)
- Flexible and may vary
- Estimated Commitment: Approximately 5 hours per week with flexible scheduling
