Programme Director, MRS-GM

The Programme Director is accountable for transforming business strategy into actionable, compliant, and sustainable delivery.

This critical role involves leading end-to-end programme management, including planning, execution, communication, and delivery. You’ll collaborate closely with the Programme Sponsor, MRSG Executive Committee (ExCo), and all key stakeholders, ensuring that outcomes, functional requirements, and benefits are delivered within defined scope, time, cost, and regulatory constraints.

Responsibilities

Role Accountabilities & Programme Ownership

  • Own the end-to-end accountability for the successful delivery of programmes, including outcomes, milestones, benefits, and deliverables.
  • Maintain ownership of the overarching integrated Programme Plan, ensuring alignment across the target operating model, business case, regulatory requirements, and implementation activities.
  • Guarantee that the programmes deliver a Day 1 compliant solution, while managing any out-of-scope or deferred functional requirements via a clearly governed roadmap.

Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership Collaboration

  • Act as a strategic partner for the Programme Sponsor, providing clear insights, challenging ideas where needed, and driving informed decision-making throughout.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the MRSG Executive Committee, delivering timely, transparent updates on progress, risks, dependencies, and required decisions.
  • Work closely with functional Leadership Teams, ensuring strategic objectives align with local market needs.
  • Lead engagement with senior stakeholders across MRSG, Global Markets, Great Lakes, and Group functions to foster collaboration and shared ownership.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
