Position Details
An exciting full-time, 1-year fixed term hybrid opportunity has arisen for a Programme Director to join the Business School Team at the University of Law Business School.
Location
- On-campus at one of our Business School locations (London Moorgate, Birmingham, or Manchester)
- Remote working element included
About the Role
As the Programme Director for a specific business programme, your core responsibilities will include:
- Leading the development, design, quality, and delivery of undergraduate course materials and assessments.
- Ensuring student experience excellence and performance enhancement.
- Overseeing curriculum alignment with the Business School’s strategic goals and the University’s academic standards.
- Collaborating closely with:
- Associate PVC (Business)
- Campus Directors
- The programme leadership & management team
Key Responsibilities
Programme Oversight & Design
- Oversee the production of course materials and assessments, ensuring they meet high-quality standards and align with programme objectives.
- Lead and implement innovative teaching methods, leveraging digital and online learning to enhance delivery, course design, and assessment.
- Design and evolve undergraduate business programmes according to Business School strategic goals and academic quality standards.

Student Experience & Performance
- Monitor and evaluate student performance, identifying areas for improvement and proposing measures to enhance the student learning journey.
Module & Operational Management
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of individual modules and areas of the programme.
- Uphold consistent delivery standards across multiple campuses.
Skills & Experience Required
We are seeking a professional leader with:
- A Postgraduate qualification (e.g., PGCHE) and Fellowship of Advance HE (FHEA or equivalent).
- Senior management experience (e.g., equivalent to Head of Department level) in business, education, or commercial sectors, with a proven track record of:
- Influencing corporate/business and academic development strategies.
- Exceptional interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills.
- Flexible adaptation to role demands and multi-faceted priorities.
- High-level project management skills, capable of leading small- or large-scale improvements.
