Programme Lead in Health and Social Care

Role Type: Part-time | Hours: 22.2 per week | Contract: Permanent

Salary: £25,094 – £27,216 per annum

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Health and Social Care department for a Programme Lead. You will design and refine high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment experiences to support student success, collaborating with colleagues to deliver and evaluate educational programmes.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering course content for full-time student cohorts
  • Monitoring course data in partnership with the Programme Area Manager
  • Optimising resources and funding through strategic programme planning
  • Tracking and improving student retention and progression
  • Developing and embedding systems to enhance the management of learning
  • Using quality and performance metrics to evaluate courses, such as enquiry, progression, and success rates
  • Setting standards and creating a cohesive learning environment across modules

  • A track record in mentoring and facilitating education at a high standard
  • Experience in coordinating and leading traditional IV/distant learning provision

Experience working within a healthcare setting would be an advantage but is not mandatory.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • A relevant degree or equivalent Level 4/5 qualification (HND or HNC)
  • Level 2 Maths & English qualifications (GCSE Grade C or 4/above or equivalent)
  • Teacher qualifications (Level 4 and above), e.g.:
    • Diploma in Education and Training
    • Cert Ed or PGCE
    • International equivalents
