Job Description The Opportunity As a recognised authority in injectable device development, you will lead some of the most complex and strategically significant programmes in our Pharmaceutical Drug Delivery team. From blank sheet to clinical reality, you will guide clients through the full development cycle – balancing technical, regulatory, and commercial challenges. Your leadership will accelerate development timelines, manage risk, and deliver results that delight clients and improve patient outcomes. You’ll play a critical role in developing innovative pharmaceutical drug delivery systems, from injectables and infusion pumps to microcatheters and active implants – systems that are not only technically ambitious, but commercially valuable and transformative for patients. Qualifications What We’re Looking For We’re seeking a technically brilliant and commercially astute Programme Leader who thrives in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment. You will have: A proven track record of leading complex, high-volume development programmes from concept through to transfer to manufacture. Deep technical engineering experience, typically developed over 10+ years in the medical device sector, ideally with expertise in pharmaceutical injectable drug delivery device development and manufacture. Exceptional technical capability with strong fundamentals in mechanical engineering and systems engineering, and a talent for creatively solving complex, ambiguous problems. People focused, with sound communication and collaboration skills, developed through strategic and engaging account management and a desire to innovate with your teams to find elegant solutions to complex challenges. Experience guiding multidisciplinary teams with rigour, agility, and care. You enjoy coaching other and operating in a mixed-ability environment. An understanding of the current pharmaceutical drug delivery market and its evolving regulatory and commercial demands. You will also be: Intellectually curious and eager to explore new perspectives. Strategically focused yet responsive and adaptive in execution. Commercially minded – able to spot opportunities, shape proposals, and win follow-on work. A confident, clear, and empathetic communicator who builds trust with clients and colleagues alike. An empowering leader who coaches others to grow.
