Job Details
- Salary range: £44,937 – £47,925 pro rata (actual: £26,962 – £28,755 per annum)
- Location: Macbeth Centre, Macbeth Street, London W6 9JJ
- Hours: 21.60 per week
- Contract type: Temporary (up to 24 months)
- Vetting: Enhanced DBS Check required

The Adult Learning & Skills Service seeks a Programme Leader for Creative Arts, Crafts and Performing Arts (CACPA)—an ambitious, creative educator who believes in the transformative power of the arts. You’ll:
- Teach dynamic, inclusive sessions across creative arts, crafts, and performing arts
- Lead tutors and support their professional development
- Design curricula that respond to local priorities and learner needs
- Champion quality in teaching, learning, and assessment
- Drive recruitment and progression, ensuring equitable opportunities
- Monitor outcomes, review data, and improve programmes
- Engage in Open Days, events, and community outreach
Actively collaborating with ** Programme Manager** and colleagues, you’ll shape the vision for an impactful, learner-centred programme.

Key Responsibilities
- Teach and deliver high-quality, engaging creative workshops
- Line-manage sessional tutors, mentoring their growth
- Develop and review programmes, ensuring they meet learner and community needs
- Promote fairness and inclusivity across recruitment, assessment, and feedback
- Support learners’ progression, from beginner to advanced skill-building
- Gather and analyse data to evaluate course effectiveness
- Engage in observations, quality assurance, and Ofsted readiness
- Represent the service at events, branding, and community celebrations
- Contribute to learning provision strategy, aligning with local and organisational goals
Requirements & Qualifications
Essential Criteria
- Degree (or equivalent) + teaching qualification, e.g.:
- Digital Technologies Leading to Learning and Skills (DTLLS)
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
- Certificate in Education ((Cert Ed) / nationally recognised teaching qualification
- Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training (or equivalent)
Experience & Attitude
- Proven track record in adult education, preferably in the CACPA sector
- Expertise in tutoring, curriculum design, or programme leadership
- Passion for transformative, inclusive, and creativity-fuelled learning
- Stakeholder management—collaborating with learners, tutors, and managers
- Leadership ability to balance strategic goals and hands-on delivery
- Commitment to quality improvement, smoothing a lens to Ofsted standards
