At Babcock we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Programme Manager at our Plymouth, Devon site.

The role

As a Programme Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll take ownership of major infrastructure projects that support critical national capabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to lead high-profile projects from planning through to delivery, working with multidisciplinary teams, customers, stakeholders and delivery partners to achieve outstanding outcomes.

You'll play a pivotal role in driving project performance, managing risks and opportunities, and ensuring successful delivery against cost, schedule and quality objectives. Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:

  • Build and lead integrated project delivery teams to define, plan, monitor and successfully deliver complex programmes.
  • Own customer, stakeholder and delivery partner relationships, ensuring strong collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Establish and maintain effective governance arrangements to support successful programme delivery.
  • Lead resource, financial and subcontractor management activities while supporting the development of colleagues and providing escalation support where required.
  • Manage project risks, assumptions, issues, opportunities and dependencies to ensure delivery objectives are achieved.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
