Technology Programme Manager (Aerospace)
Location: Bristol (hybrid working)
Salary: £56,641 – £70,929 + excellent benefits

Join NCC as an Aerospace Programme Manager (Technology Programme Manager) and take ownership of a portfolio of high-value, cutting-edge engineering programmes. You’ll play a key role in expanding our presence in the aerospace market by building trusted customer relationships, shaping multi‑year partnerships, and identifying opportunities that drive collaboration and technological advancement.

What you’ll be doing
Programme leadership Lead the successful delivery of multiple complex projects across the full lifecycle Balance priorities across a portfolio, ensuring delivery to time, cost and quality Manage risk, change and stakeholder engagement to achieve successful outcomes Able to set clear expectations of programme team culture required to deliver against Time, Quality, Cost and Scope objectives Demonstrated expertise in scope and change management, effectively overseeing evolving technology programmes while aligning with customer expectations.

Customer Engagement & Growth Act as the primary point of contact for customers, building strong and trusted relationships Ensure a clear understanding of customer needs and translate these into successful delivery Represent the NCC as the account manager for key accounts, for strategically significant customers or targets. Focussing on delivering in accordance with their expectations and actively seeking opportunities to expand collaboration Identify and develop new opportunities with existing and new customers Contribute to the growth of the project portfolio through additional programmes and partnerships.
Team & delivery management Lead and motivate your team of project managers to deliver high-quality outcomes Embed a culture of personal development through regular personal development reviews and planning Work collaboratively across engineering and capability teams to ensure effective resource utilisation Delegate appropriate project management responsibility to Project Managers and Project Management Officers.
Strategic Activities Support wider strategic activities that reinforce the commercial objectives of the NCC and provide valuable contributions to ensuring the NCC is equipped to deliver effectively for its customers.
What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who combines strong programme delivery expertise with customer and partnership business development.
You’ll likely bring: Experience managing complex programmes or multiple projects in an engineering or technical environment Proven ability to work directly with customers and build strong, lasting relationships. A track record of identifying opportunities and contributing to business growth Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teams.
Desirable: Aerospace or advanced engineering experience (ideally composites) Experience in R&D or innovation-led environments, progressing through Technology and Manufacturing Readiness Levels Experience of managing large grant funded programmes with organisations such as Innovate UK, ATI and Horizon Europe.
