Role Description

The Programme Manager role is a full-time position, responsible for overseeing the planning, delivery, and evaluation of cricket-related community and development programs. This role involves managing multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating schedules, budgets, and resources, and ensuring programs align with the Foundation’s mission and strategic objectives.

The Programme Manager will work closely with coaches, educators, volunteers, partners, and internal teams to design impactful activities, monitor participation, and report on outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Supervising staff or session leaders
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Preparing regular progress updates for senior leadership and funders
  • Continuous improvement of programmes
  • Identifying new opportunities
  • Ensuring activities are inclusive, safe, and compliant with relevant policies and standards

Qualifications

  • Programme and project management skills, including planning, organizing, monitoring, and evaluating multiple initiatives.
  • Experience coordinating community, sports, education, or youth-focused programmes, ideally within a charitable or non-profit setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with participants, partners, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, support staff and volunteers, and foster a collaborative, inclusive working environment.
  • Competence in budget management, basic data analysis, and reporting on programme outcomes and impact.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion principles within community or sporting environments.
  • Good IT skills, including use of office software for documentation, scheduling, presentations, and online communication.
  • Relevant experience or strong interest in cricket, sport for development, or community engagement; prior work in the sector is an advantage.
  • Ability to work on-site in Birmingham, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities and demands.
  • Education or training in fields such as sports management, community development, education, or a related discipline is beneficial.
