Programme Manager, Marsh Specialty UK

Programme Manager, Strategy and Transformation - London

Description

Marsh UK is undertaking several exciting transformation programmes that are central to the business strategy. We are seeking a talented individual to design and deliver a complex and evolving programme of change, enabling the future success of the business.

Reporting to the Head of Strategy, Planning and Transformation, this role requires deep understanding of programme management, location strategy, and digital transformation, as well as proven experience in delivering structural change at scale.

We will count on you to:

  • Iterate programme design with key stakeholders establishing workstreams aligned to outcomes
  • Oversee multiple related projects, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy and objectives
  • Lead stakeholder engagement at senior levels, providing regular updates on programme progress, benefits realization, and challenges.
  • Develop and maintain the programme roadmap, coordinating cross-project dependencies and resource allocation
  • Drive benefits management, tracking and reporting on the achievement of programme goals
  • Facilitate governance processes, including programme steering committees and decision-making forums
  • Drive end-to-end project management, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget
  • Take ownership and drive project outcomes, provide updates, and communicate project milestones to stakeholders
  • Prepare and support the business for change, driving user adoption of digital and AI tools and processes with Digital leads
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop project plans, allocate resources, assess risks, and implement mitigation strategies

What you need to have:

  • Proven track record of managing complex, large-scale programmes, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector
  • Experience in coordinating multiple projects and managing interdependencies to achieve strategic objectives
  • Expertise in programme governance, risk management, and benefits realization
  • Ability to navigate organisational change and drive adoption across diverse teams
  • Proven experience managing business projects within the insurance or financial services sector, preferably in Specialty insurance
  • Ability to analyse complex problems and develop practical solutions
  • Deep understanding of transformation projects and typical risks and challenges to overcome
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, MS Project)

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders across business and technology functions
  • Fantastic communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders at all levels
  • Relevant Programme and/or Project management certification (MSP, PgMP, PMQ, PRINCE2, or equivalent) preferred
