Opportunity at Stantec: Programme Manager (PMCM) – Water Sector

The Role

Stantec, a global leader in sustainable engineering, consulting, and programme management, is seeking a Programme Manager within the Programme Management and Commercial Management (PMCM) team. You’ll collaborate with clients in the water sector to deliver large-scale capital investments, with the flexibility to be based in Reading, London, or High Wycombe (requiring a minimum of two visits per week to Reading).

This position demands expertise in:

  • Managing benefits, costs, and commercial aspects of programmes, ensuring financial efficiency and value delivery from inception to completion.
  • Reporting performance metrics with precision and attention to detail.
  • Driving continuous improvement, innovation, and team development.
  • Demonstrating leadership in collaborative improvements and change management, fostering accountability, safety, and problem-solving.
  • Conducting independent analysis, conflict resolution, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Implementing risk management, proactive negotiation, and stakeholder engagement.

About You

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Relevant experience as a Programme Manager
  • Preferable experience in the water sector
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams to achieve strategic outcomes
  • An APM Qualification (or equivalent) is a plus
