Royal Mail is delivering a once-in-a-generation Future ERP transformation, replacing legacy systems with a modern SAP S/4HANA Finance platform. We’re looking for a Programme Manager to lead a major Finance technology delivery workstream and drive measurable improvements in financial processes, data quality, controls, and reporting.
The Role
You will lead a multi-year programme of work within the Future ERP portfolio, shaping delivery strategy, managing suppliers, and ensuring secure, compliant, and high-quality outcomes. You’ll work across Finance, Technology, Data, Integration, and Commercial teams to deliver a scalable Finance platform that supports Royal Mail’s long-term ambitions.
What You’ll Do
- Lead a Finance ERP programme, defining roadmap, phases, milestones, and success measures.
- Secure investment through robust planning, estimates, and business case inputs.
- Ensure delivery governance, risk management, financial control, and regulatory compliance.
- Build strong relationships with senior Finance and Technology stakeholders.
- Manage System Integrators and software vendors to ensure value and quality.
- Lead and develop programme teams, supporting consistent delivery capability.

What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience delivering large, complex technology programmes.
- Strong background in ERP or enterprise platform delivery — ideally SAP S/4HANA Finance.
- Ability to translate Finance strategy into actionable delivery plans.
- Excellent stakeholder, commercial, and risk management skills.
- Experience in regulated, financially critical environments.
- Confident communicator able to influence senior and executive leaders.
