Description
Our Role
As a Programme Planner, you will work within the Network Plus PMO, supporting the development and management of programmes of work across multiple contracts. The role provides central planning capability to the business, working across contract teams to ensure programmes are consistent, accurate and aligned to delivery.
You will maintain detailed delivery schedules and support higher level programme reporting, ensuring work is planned, tracked and delivered in line with contract requirements. You will act as the link between the PMO and operational teams, providing clear visibility of progress, risks and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Planning and Control
- Develop and maintain project and programme schedules using Oracle Primavera P6/MSP across multiple contracts
- Support development of higher level programme plans using Microsoft Project
- Ensure alignment between detailed schedules and programme level reporting
- Support development of baseline programmes with clear logic and sequencing
- Ensure pre-build activities are identified and included within programmes
Programme Delivery and Performance
- Update programmes on a regular cycle using accurate site progress and planning inputs
- Track planned vs actual performance and highlight variances across contracts
- Support production of programme reports for contract teams and PMO reporting
- Assist with forecasting completion dates and identifying recovery actions
- Ensure programmes reflect actual delivery on site

Risk and Change Management
- Identify programme risks and constraints across multiple contracts and support mitigation planning
- Assist in tracking changes to scope and understanding programme impacts
- Support assessment of change events in line with contract requirements, including NEC contracts
Stakeholder Engagement
- Work across multiple contract teams including project managers, supervisors and planners
- Act as a central PMO contact for planning support and coordination
- Attend planning and progress meetings and provide updates
- Support communication of programme status to internal stakeholders and clients
Data, Reporting and Systems
- Maintain accurate and consistent programme data across contracts
- Support development of PMO level reporting and dashboards
- Ensure alignment between planning tools and operational reporting systems
- Drive consistency in planning standards across the business
Pre-Build, Delivery and Close-Out
- Support capture of pre-build information to inform programme development
- Support operational teams during delivery with updated programme information
- Assist with maintaining as-built programme records through to completion

Business Support
- Support tender submissions, mobilisation activities and strategic projects through the PMO
- Provide planning input into new contracts and business opportunities
Experience and Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project
- Experience in utilities, infrastructure or construction environments
- Basic understanding of NEC contracts
- Experience supporting project or programme planning activities
- Strong attention to detail with good analytical skills
- Able to work across multiple teams and contracts
- Clear communicator with the ability to present programme information simply
