A leading organisation in London is seeking a Programme PMO Manager to join their Transformation Office and play a pivotal role in enabling successful programme delivery across global initiatives. What you'll do:
As a Programme PMO Manager based in London, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of complex programmes within a global transformation context. Your day-to-day activities will involve:
- Facilitating comprehensive programme planning activities by identifying, capturing, and managing meaningful milestones as well as dependencies within and impacting aligned programmes.
- Collaborating closely with delivery leads to maintain high-quality programme plans, ensuring consistent updates and tracking against delivery commitments for optimal outcomes.
- Leading resource demand planning and support capability management for aligned programmes, feeding into central processes to ensure the right skills and capacity are available.
- Ensuring programme teams proactively identify, capture, assess, and manage risks and issues in accordance with central processes and tooling, leading regular reviews for transparency.
- Acting as the conscience on control standards by promoting awareness and adherence throughout programme teams, ensuring compliance with organisational requirements.
- Reviewing and quality-assuring business cases, plans, RAID logs, reports, and other key artefacts to guarantee they meet required standards and accurately represent programme health.
- Serving as the primary contact for assurance reviews, risk assessments, audit engagements, and related activities while ensuring remediation actions are completed promptly.
- Partnering with business stakeholders and Transformation colleagues to set up and maintain benefits tracking for aligned programmes, ensuring reliable data feeds into value reporting.
- Leading implementation and ongoing management of reporting dashboards and performance metrics for aligned programmes in close collaboration with Programme Managers and Finance colleagues.
- Driving effective ways of working and continuous improvement across programme teams by leading mobilisation activities, knowledge management initiatives, communications, and lessons learned.

What you bring:
The ideal Programme PMO Manager brings extensive experience gained from managing projects or programmes within large-scale change environments. Your proven track record demonstrates how you have supported teams through challenging transitions by leveraging analytical thinking combined with intentional collaboration. You understand the nuances of Insurance or Financial Services sectors but can adapt quickly if coming from another industry. Your ability to communicate clearly ensures stakeholders feel included throughout every stage of delivery.
- You bring over eight years' experience in project or programme PMO roles within complex change environments where your dependability has been proven time after time.
- Your background includes working in large organisations—ideally within Insurance or Financial Services—where you have demonstrated intentional collaboration across diverse teams.
- You possess strong analytical thinking skills that enable you to assess risks thoroughly while maintaining meticulous attention to detail throughout all aspects of programme delivery.
- Your communication abilities allow you to present information with impact both verbally and in written form when engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- You have managed performance effectively by supporting teams through change delivery processes using recognised methodologies such as Waterfall Model.
- Your expertise extends to cost management practices that ensure resources are allocated efficiently without compromising quality or timelines.
- You are adept at strategic management techniques which underpin successful transformation initiatives within complex organisational structures.
- Stakeholder management is one of your strengths; you build trust through honest interactions while responding sensitively to concerns raised during programme execution.
- Problem solving comes naturally as you navigate challenges collaboratively alongside colleagues from different functions within the business transformation space.
- Experience using tools like Jira, Planview, or PowerBI is advantageous but not mandatory; your willingness to learn new systems supports continuous improvement efforts.
