Programme Quality Engineer
We are seeking a Programme Quality Engineer to join our quality team in Cwmbran. This role will focus on guaranteeing the compliance of products and services delivered to customers by implementing customer and Safran requirements within the program, act as a quality interface and represent the Quality department by building and maintaining relationships of trust with customers. Listen to customers' concerns about quality and translate them into requirements, negotiate as effectively as possible with the customer and implement them operationally within the program. Understand the implicit and explicit quality requirements of other stakeholders, negotiate them as effectively as possible and integrate them operationally within the program. Guarantee quality performance within the program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement quality actions to ensure that customer and Safran requirements are properly integrated into the program:
- Analyse customer requirements, establish and maintain quality deliverables by cascading them internally and to the supply chain through the program quality plan.
- Ensure due application of the PROMPT reference system and the "Program Management" process by applying best practices.
- Report to customers on compliance with their quality requirements.

Guarantee quality performance within the program:
- Prepare reports and coordinate the associated improvement plan.
- Implement a quality risk management plan for the program.
- Support the operational teams in the attainment of program QCD (quality, cost, delivery) performance targets.
- Promote the EN 9145 (APQP/PPAP) standard.
- Manage quality events exported from the program.

Build and maintain relationships of trust with customers concerning quality:
- Prepare, coordinate and track customer audits, consolidate corrective action requests and their processing.
- Ensure effective and long-term implementation of specified actions.
- Ensure the customer's voice is heard within the company.

Help ensure the compliance of products and services delivered to customers:
- Identify and manage quality risks and implement the actions necessary to achieve the quality objectives of the program.
- Report any problem, risk or event that could adversely affect program objectives and/or customer satisfaction.
- Prepare quality performance reports for programs, identify areas for improvement and manage the associated improvement plan.
- Stop any action that could have an unacceptable quality impact on the program and propose risk management actions.
- Ensure that feedback is effectively integrated into the process.

- Contribute to analyzing and resolving discrepancies.
- Promote and support implementation of best practices.
- Support IPTs to ensure the proactive quality assurance activities such as APQP, DFM, D/PFMEA are being driven and governed effectively at the early phases of the programme.
- Work with the Procurement organisation to validate the choice of suppliers and ensure the appropriate data is being provided to suppliers to enable them to be successful as well as validating quality assurance plans and processes for each supplier.
Essential Knowledge, Experience, Training & Qualifications
- HNC/HND or equivalent in an Engineering/Manufacturing related discipline.
- D/PFMEA & Control Plans; experience and full detail understanding and execution.
- APQP/PPAP.
- Risk Analysis.
- Programme Management Gate Process Understanding & exposure.
- Demonstrated experience supporting Quality Assurance / APQP / DFM / D/PFMEA activities across multi-disciplinary programmes.
- Knowledge of management of HSE risks.
- Flight safety risk management.
