Key Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering delivery of complex defence/cyber security programmes across the full project lifecycle.
- Manage technical risks, resources and stakeholder relationships.
- Collaborate with programme managers and specialists to ensure on-time, on-budget, high-quality delivery.
- Plan and schedule projects, identifying efficiency improvements.
- Allocate engineering resources and work with discipline leads.
- Deliver engineering outputs aligned with budgets, schedules and technical standards.
- Assess/mitigate technical risks throughout the programme.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (systems, software, hardware, integration).
- Engage with customers, suppliers and subcontractors as the engineering representative.
- Drive innovation, continuous improvement and cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure security compliance with engineering governance frameworks.
- Foster cross_team collaboration (production, test, quality and project management).

About You
Seeking an experienced Systems Engineering professional with a background in defence/aerospace or other highly regulated industries.
Essential Requirements
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Mathematics or Physics.
- Significant experience in full Systems Engineering lifecycle delivery.
- Demonstrated understanding of systems engineering methodologies, ISO/IEEE/IEC standards and best practices.
- Proven experience in developing high-quality system requirements and delivering compliant solutions.
- Experience in capability/product:line development environments.
- Technical leadership with line management of Systems Engineering teams.
- Documentation expertise (creating/reviewing technical deliveries).
- Hands-on experience with hardware, software or embedded systems development.

Desirable
- INCOSE CSEP/ESEP accreditation.
- Technical Subject Matter Expertise (SME) demonstrated in previous roles.
- Familiarity with NCSC security processes/artefacts.
SNT Security Clearance: Applicants must be eligible for clearance, due to role-sensitive nature.
