The Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Programme Test Manager to take full responsibility and accountability for all test delivery activities across a large-scale transformational programme.

This is a critical leadership role requiring a strategic mindset and a hands-on approach to execution. You will define the programme's overarching testing landscape, manage cross-functional testing resources, and drive a high-performance culture across agile workstreams.

Working closely with quality architects, you will ensure total alignment with enterprise frameworks while driving innovation, collaboration, and right-first-time audit adherence throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Test Definition: Define and implement the overarching Programme Test Strategy, establishing a clear roadmap for quality across all workstreams.
  • Planning & Delivery: Establish the delivery schedule and key milestones using quantitative estimation models, managing testing deliverables rigorously against agreed timelines.
  • Resource & Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of programme testing resources (a mix of permanent staff and third-party service providers) embedded within agile teams.
  • Performance & Culture: Drive adherence to strict productivity and service quality targets, while fostering a culture of collaboration, high performance, and future leadership development.
  • Governance & Steering: Articulate and communicate testing progress, risks, and service quality metrics clearly to programme steering groups and senior stakeholders.
  • Innovation & Framework Adherence: Partner with quality architects to inject innovation into all aspects of the test delivery lifecycle, ensuring strict alignment with internal quality frameworks.
  • Audit & Compliance: Govern the delivery process to guarantee that all internal audit processes pass seamlessly on the first attempt.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
