Programmes Executive £30,000-£35,000
Help shape the future of Greater Manchester's digital and technology sector.
Manchester Digital is looking for a highly organised, proactive and commercially minded Programmes Executive to join our growing team.
This is primarily a programme delivery and business development role, working across talent, skills and ecosystem initiatives that connect businesses, educators, government and the wider technology community.
Our programmes often include workshops, networking events, conferences and employer engagement activities, so you'll lead these as part of wider programme delivery, while also supporting selected flagship Manchester Digital events throughout the year.
About the role
You'll take ownership of a portfolio of programmes from planning through to delivery, working closely with members, sponsors, employers, education providers and partners to ensure they deliver real impact for the sector.
This is a varied role where no two weeks look the same. One day you might be meeting prospective sponsors, the next coordinating an employer insight day, managing a funded programme, planning a conference session or identifying new partnership opportunities.
Success in this role is measured not only by delivering high-quality programmes, but by building relationships, generating commercial opportunities and helping Manchester Digital continue to grow.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
