Fixed Term Contract: 12 Months Role: Programming Producer, Digital Employer: National Theatre’s Digital Team
About the Role
We are seeking a Programming Producer, Digital to join the National Theatre’s Digital team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
The Programming Producer will collaborate closely with the Senior Programming Producer and Assistant Producers to deliver the digital programme for the National Theatre, encompassing NT Live, NT at Home, NT Collection, and other digital distribution initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery:
- Ensure smooth operation of the National’s digital activity, encompassing all planned and ad-hoc streaming projects.

Contract & Relationship Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with internal National Theatre departments, co-producers, and agents, ensuring successful contract negotiation and timely administration.
- Oversee contracting for co-producers, artists, show staff, stage management, and licensing (including commercial music, images, and third-party rights).

- Team Leadership:
- Provide line management for an Assistant Producer, nurturing their development and ensuring deliverables align with religious duties.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven Experience:
- Extensive producing experience in theatre, including line-producing live stage shows within a producing theatre organisation or venue.
- Experience negotiating contracts with artists and agents across union-agreed, in-house, and standalone terms.

- Strong knowledge and passion for theatre with an interest in digital distribution.
