The Position

Healthcare is evolving, and Global Procurement responds by pushing for excellence through strategic innovation. Our role spans the entire supplier ecosystem, driving improvements in health outcomes, cost reductions for patients, and system-wide value. You will shape tomorrow’s procurement—today.

This Programs and Solutions Lead position is based in the Strategy and Solutions Chapter, where we transform mission-critical priorities into tangible value for Roche. We go beyond process management—we champion continuous improvement to amplify procurement’s impact across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

As the Programs and Solutions Lead, you will inspire a high-performing team of Supply Chain and Engineering professionals, accelerating procurement impact and delivering measurable outcomes. Your leadership will focus on:

  • Market and Supplier-Driven Innovation

    • Pursue market-first solutions to tackle complex challenges.
    • Challenge norms, extend beyond standard value chains to enrich procurement scope.
    • Prioritize outcomes that transcend traditional KPIs.
  • Complex Strategic Programs & Projects

    • Accelerate high-stakes programs (e.g., cost transformations) and critical projects (e.g., complex negotiations/sourcing).
    • Foster high standards for speed, quality, and adaptability.
    • Cultivate team culture, balancing creativity with rapid delivery.

The Opportunity

Core Duties

  • Portfolio & Program Leadership Manage cross-functional portfolios of solutions, cost-outs, and negotiations, maximizing value for Supply Chain & Engineering.

  • Culture & Community Building Create an inclusive environment where failures are learning moments and successes multiply collective impact.

  • Resource Orchestration Align teams and squads—ensure talent matches objectives to boost efficiency.

  • Strategic Innovation & Problem Solving Identify critical problems in Supply Chain & Engineering, propose tailored solutions, and drive agile value realization.

  • Framework Excellence Design and refine project tools for emerging and high-value procurement models.

  • Stakeholder Partnerships Build data-driven relationships—from mid-level to leadership—through storytelling and seamless collaboration.

  • Domain Mastery Deep expertise in Supply Chain & Engineering, coupled with market foresight—remaining adaptable to future trends.


Who You Are

Education

  • University degree (preferred in Business, Life Sciences, or related fields).

Experience

  • Proven leader in procurement, supply chain, or management consulting, with expertise in:
    • Supplier innovation development.
    • Complex cost-cutting programs.
    • High-value negotiations or tender processes.
