Role Description
The Progressive Finance Leader In Residence is a voluntary, part-time, remote role focused on thought leadership, community engagement, and strategic insight for GENCFO members.

- Day-to-day responsibilities include creating inspiring content such as articles, opinion pieces, and discussion prompts that showcase progressive finance mindset and practices, digital transformation, and future-focused leadership.
- The role involves hosting or co-hosting virtual sessions, contributing to live events and summits, and participating in online discussions to mentor and support community members.
- The Leader In Residence will collaborate with the GENCFO team to shape thematic agendas, identify emerging trends, and curate resources that help members adopt automation, analytics, and agile approaches.

This role is ideal for a finance leader who aligns with GENCFO’s future-focused mission, and is passionate about sharing knowledge, amplifying best practices, and advancing the digital finance function.
- The first term commitment will be 12 months.
Qualifications
- Strong background in finance or accounting leadership (e.g., CFO, Finance Director, Financial Controller) with experience in modern, digitally enabled finance functions.
- Demonstrated experience with finance transformation, including automation, analytics, data-driven decision-making, and process optimization.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging written content and facilitate insightful virtual discussions and presentations.
- Comfort working in a remote, digital-first environment, using online platforms and tools to engage members and deliver content.
- Strategic thinking and curiosity about emerging trends in digital finance, technology, and the future of work in accounting and finance.
- Experience speaking at industry events, hosting webinars, or contributing to professional publications is highly beneficial.
