MPI are looking for a Project Accountant
£173 Per day
Hybrid Working (London)
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our client's finance team in a hybrid role, working 2 days per week in the office (Tuesday and Wednesday) and the remainder remotely. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional with 2–5 years' experience who is looking to develop their career within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and support monthly accounting and financial close activities
- Produce accurate financial reports and management information
- Support project accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Analyse large datasets to identify trends and provide meaningful financial insights
- Partner with project managers and key stakeholders to support project delivery and financial decision-making
- Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes and reporting
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required

Skills & Experience
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
- 2–5 years' accounting or finance experience
- Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) preferred
- Experience in accounting processes, including month-end financial close and financial reporting
- Strong working knowledge of SAP
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience working with large datasets
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to take ownership and use initiative
- Experience with Power BI is desirable but not essential
- Previous experience working on London Underground, Transport for London (TfL), rail, infrastructure, or major engineering projects would be highly advantageous
