Project Accountant
Thales ISR UK – Project Accountant

Thales ISR UK is looking for an experienced Project Accountant to contribute to our expanding portfolio, shaping delivery, performance, and financial integrity across high-profile programmes. Collaborate with a UK-based team in Crawley and Equestrian business partners in France, partnering with Project Managers, Controllers, Commercial teams, Engineering, Production, and Finance leadership. Ideal for someone who thrives on problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and driving projects toward business goals.
Responsibilities
- Project financial control: Monitor spend, track deliverables, and ensure accurate reporting
- Budget ownership: Analyse and communicate project budgets, variances, risks, and opportunities
- Stakeholder partnership: Support Project Managers with cost analyses (ETC/EAC), schedule impacts, and financial decisions
- Risk & opportunity management: Identify, quantify, and report risks/opportunities across the portfolio
- ERP & reporting: Validate project setup, cost capture, cashflow forecasting, and monthly PMR prep
- Bid support: Contribute to new bids with financial fidelity and Chorus compliance
- Continuous improvement: Support tool development, mentor junior colleagues, and uphold Thales values

Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Project Accountant in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Ability to challenge, influence, and guide project teams with confidence
- Proactive, analytical mindset with risk-aware problem-solving aptitude
- Commitment to accuracy, integrity, and cross-team collaboration
